ADGAS LPG Diesel Induction System
AD GAS LPG Induction Diesel System
Benefits and Savings

But don't believe us...

The following is taken from the conclusion to a report completed on behalf of Shell (Great Britain) Limited on a Scania 420 Engine using our system. The author stated;

"It is confirmed that this engine has not suffered any visible or measured adverse effects to any of its mechanisms as a result from the use of LPG."

"This engine appears to be in excellent condition for the amount of miles travelled"

"In my opinion the engine appears to be in better condition and cleaner throughout, with considerable less carbon deposits that a comparative engine of the same vintage and mileage operating on Diesel fuel only"

A Unique Fuel Cost Saving System for HGV's

ADGas offers a unique, safe and effective system that guarantees operators a distinct and competitive advantage. In today’s transport market, with rising fuel costs, the incentive to reduce overheads has taken on a more urgent priority.

Our system has been devised and tested specifically to offer dramatic fuel cost savings to the operators of HGVs and to significantly reduce the harmful emissions created by Diesel engines.

Optimising the fuel mixture for maximum efficiency

These benefits are achieved by installing a relatively light weight and compact system on to an HGV. This inducts a controlled and measured amount of LPG in to the air entering the engine. The LPG/air mixture is then forced in to the cylinders by the turbo-charger which creates a lower intake temperature, resulting in a denser, cooler and more enriched intake mixture. The LPG charged mixture then catalyses with atomised liquid Diesel fuel injected into the combustion chamber causing it to burn much more efficiently. By proactively controlling the flow of gas the electronic control module ensures that this results in more power and torque per volume of fuel burned and a combustion efficiency approaching 100%.

Simply put, the more efficiently an engine runs, the better the results.

There are many features and benefits associated with our system… here are a few...

  • The system can be retro or factory fitted to any size, or age, HGV Diesel engine.
  • The installation process is completely 'non invasive’.
  • Our Dual Phase Induction (DPI) control module manages the gas flow while monitoring load, manifold pressure, accelerator pedal, and water temperature.
  • Seamless return to 'Diesel only' usage in the event of gas running out.
  • Increases in torque within OEM specifications, resulting in improved 'driveability'.
  • Increases in fuel efficiency, by completing the combustion cycle of available diesel injected, giving a burn rate approaching 100%.
  • Substitution rates of up to a maximum of 22% of LPG, continuously controlled by the DPI module. Our system does not have a Knock Sensor because it does not require one. Our system only INDUCTS the required amount at anytime to make the engine work at its most efficient.
  • Extended service intervals / oil changes due to lack of engine 'sludging' and carbon deposits.
  • Decreases in emissions. ADGas is conducting country specific emission testing under local conditions given the differing Diesel and gas compositions and qualities.
  • Reductions in exhaust temperatures of around 20%.
  • Increased thermal and volumetric efficiency. Combustion rate approaching 100%, up from an average of 80 to 85%.
  • Ability to remotely contact the system, via a GSM, radio or GPRS network to allow for software tuning and version upgrades.
  • Full engine data logging capability.
  • Sensors, located throughout the vehicle, monitor the engine's operating parameters, ensuring they remain within manufacturer's specifications.
